When Do the Christmas Lights Switch On in Málaga 2025?
The Christmas lights will switch on Friday 28 November 2025. This moment officially opens the festive season in the city.
The City Council has prepared the display for weeks. This year Calle Larios debuts a new theme
“Nativity of Light.”
It pays homage to the birth of Jesus and replaces the well known angels from previous years.
Lighting will also extend to Alameda Principal and the Cathedral area offering a wider festive route for visitors.

Calle Larios remains the main attraction. Each day the street hosts a light and music show that turns the city into a Christmas fairy tale. Visitors can enjoy carols Málaga inspired melodies and immersive visual effects.
