How we source data
Every claim on a Roccabox page is cross-referenced against multiple independent sources before publication. We do not name our specific data partners commercially — partly because some are commercial relationships and naming them gives competitors a free roadmap, and partly because what matters to a buyer is the strength of the cross-check, not the supplier list.
What we cross-reference against
For every development, area page, and entity hub, we work through several categories of source:
- Spanish public records for plot, registration, and ownership verification.
- Open mapping references for nearby amenities, distances, and points of interest.
- Public meteorological references for microclimate per location.
- Official Spanish property registry data for project registration.
- Live Costa del Sol market signals for asking price ranges, days-on-market, and unit-availability movement.
- Manual editorial review by the Roccabox editorial desk for narrative, framing, and final fact-check.
For our entity hubs (golf courses, beaches, schools, hospitals, marinas, lifestyle clusters)
- Direct verification from the entity itself for history, founding, accreditations, and services.
- Federation-level listings for sport and education.
- Official tourism information from regional and municipal sources.
- Public quality programmes for beach quality and educational accreditation.
For buyer guide pages
- Spanish official gazettes and legal frameworks for current Spanish and Andalucían law and tax rates.
- Public Spanish tax-authority references for income tax, transfer tax, VAT, and non-resident tax.
- Public banking-regulator references for mortgage market guidance.
- Public notarial and registry references for conveyancing.
What we do not use
We do not source from listings portals where the listing party is the seller or another agency. We do not cite competing another Costa del Sol agency agency content. We do not use unverified social-media claims as primary sources.
Source confidence
Where it helps the reader, we surface our internal confidence indicator alongside specific data points. A fact verified by two or more independent sources scores higher than a single-source fact. A fact in indicative pre-launch state is explicitly flagged.
